Different CD Animals for kids to make

If you read my blog before, I am into Upcycling and these projects are just that.

CD Cardinal Craft

Make this lovely cardinal and then expand on this idea to create a variety of different birds.

Materials:   CD, Felt, Feathers, Wiggle Eyes, Pen, Craft Glue, and Scissors

Directions:
Start by tracing around the CD onto the felt and cutting out the circle. Glue the circle to the CD and then you can start adding the details. I glued red feathers on the sides of the CD to look like wings. I also included a small piece of red feather to what will be the forehead area. For the face, I cut a square out of black felt and rounded the corners. Glue this on to cover the bottom of the feather you glued onto the forehead. Add wiggle eyes and a small beak cut out of orange felt and your cardinal is done.

CD Dog Craft

Materials:   CD, Felt, Dimensional Paint, Pom-poms, Wiggle Eyes, Pen, Craft Glue, and Scissors

Directions:
Trace around the CD onto the white felt and cut out the circle. Glue the circle to the CD. I cut out ears using white felt and glued them to the top of the head. The eyes were also cut out of felt and glued in place. At this time, use dimensional paint to add the black spots if you are making a Dalmatian. Glue on two large pom-poms to form the dog's mouth and a slightly smaller pom-pom on top of the mouth to make the nose. Glue on two larger wiggle eyes; and, if, you want to add a fun detail, cut out a pink or red tongue and glue it in place.

CD Frog Craft

Materials:   CD, Felt, Dimensional Paint, Pom-poms, Wiggle Eyes, Pen, Craft Glue, and Scissors

Directions:
Trace around the CD onto green felt and cut out the circle. Glue the circle to the CD. Cut 4 legs for your frog out of green felt. I simply cut out 4 capital L shapes that were a little large on one end. Glue these to the bottom side of the CD. Glue two 1-inch pom-poms onto frog body and then glue a wiggle eye onto each pom-pom. For the nose of the frog, I simply made two small dots using black dimensional paint.

CD Panda Craft

Materials:  CD, Felt, Dimensional Paint, Pom-pom, Pen, Craft Glue, and   Scissors

Directions:
Trace around the CD onto the white felt and cut out the circle. Glue the circle to the CD. But two black circles out of black felt to be the panda's eyes. Also cut out a large black circle for the mouth area and two smaller, black ovals for the eyes. Glue all of them in place. Cut 4 circles out of white felt. Glue two of these on top of the ears and the other two on top of the eyes. Make a nose using a white pom-pom. Finally, draw a mouth on your panda using red dimensional paint and also place small dots of black dimensional paint in the eyes. Your panda is now done!

CD Pig Craft

Materials:   CD, Felt, Pom-pom, Wiggle Eyes, Pen, Craft Glue, and Scissors

Directions:
Start by tracing around the CD onto the pink felt and cutting out the circle. Glue the circle to the CD and then you can start adding the details. For the snout, I used a 3-inch pink pom-pom with two small circles of dark pink felt glued on top of it. I cut two triangle ears out of light pink felt and then two smaller inner ear pieces out of darker pink felt. Glue them as shown on top of the head. Finally, glue two wiggle eyes onto your pig and you are all done!
